Do you really care about the Z Flip 4? Design and specification leaks reveal a small improvement to the fantastic Z Flip 3 from 2021.
The first folding phone that was actually usable was the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It offered a more portable shape and a price comparable to a standard flagship phone, without sacrificing performance, as opposed to enormous powerhouses like the Z Fold 3. The Galaxy Z Flip 4’s successor, then, has a lot to live up to.
By August, both the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Z Fold 4 are anticipated to be available, and numerous significant leaks have already virtually disclosed both devices’ specifications. Samsung is expected to remain with the templates that appealed to customers last year and won’t make many big design changes to either phone. It didn’t, however, remain static.

If you’re not familiar with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 design, it’s a vertical-folding smartphone that is reminiscent of older flip phones. According to rumors, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 won’t seem much different from its predecessor. Recent Z Flip 4 renders that have emerged via 91Mobiles and OnLeaks appear to be very identical from every angle.
The actual size of the phone did vary, albeit only very slightly: when unfolded, it was 165.1 x 71.9 x 7.2 mm as opposed to 166 x 72.2 x 6.9 mm. In other words, it’s just a little bit shorter, thinner, and thicker. That will probably add a little weight to it as well, but as we’ll cover later, Samsung probably used that extra room to increase the battery life.
The Z Flip 4 would include a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and 2.1-inch AMOLED cover display, noted tech leaker Yogesh Brar in a later tweet. The cover display receives a small 0.2-inch bump but remains very small, while the interior display is identical to the original.
It’s not unexpected that Samsung intends to use inventive color schemes for the Z Flip 4 in the same way that the Z Flip 3 featured a variety of elegant dual-tone color options and unique Bespoke Edition designs. The Z Flip 4 will reportedly be sold in Gold, Gray, Light Blue, and Light Violet, according to a recent DSCC leak. Recent leaks of purple renders for the latter demonstrate how attractive the Z Flip 4 will appear in this color.
For example, the Z Flip 3 was offered in 49 bespoke customization options and Phantom Black, Cream, Green, Lavender, Gray, White, and Pink colors in just a few nations: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Korea, the UK, and the United States. According to a recent SamMobile rumor, the Bespoke Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be available in more countries in Europe and Asia and will come in a wider range of colors, including various frame colors.
According to leaked information from Android Headlines, the official Galaxy Z Flip 4 cases will resemble the ring-attachment cases that are available for the Z Flip 3. According to the leak, the cases would be available in pink, khaki, navy, arctic blue, and bora purple.
