AMD’s next Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs, which comprise the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X, have reportedly been leaked and confirmed. An open AMD resource library already has a list of forthcoming desktop processors.
The impending Ryzen 7000 SKUs have now been officially announced by AMD, letting the cat out of the bag. Four Ryzen 7000 CPUs have been marked by the manufacturer with an oddly unrelated Ryzen marketing asset file for Ryzen PRO CPU:
- Ryzen 9 7950X
- Ryzen 9 7900X
- Ryzen 7 700X
- Ryzen 5 7600X
There are no Ryzen 3 7000 series or Ryzen 7 7800X CPUs yet, and those are the only Ryzen 7000 CPUs that are listed in the library. Those resources should probably be kept under wraps, yet they are still accessible without logging in.
According to earlier speculation, the Ryzen 7 7700X was not going to be a part of the first batch of Raphael CPUs. This leak could indicate the opposite. Unfortunately, AMD hasn’t revealed any other details on these desktop CPU variants save for the names of the SKUs. AMD has not yet confirmed the rumored mid-September launch date for Ryzen 7000. The Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X, which are part of AMD’s next-generation Zen 4-based CPU family, will each utilize 170W of power by default.
When operating at standard voltages, the new AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X chips will have a 170W TDP, but they will consume more power when overclocked. According to Robert Hallock’s confirmation, AMD’s relatively high Ryzen 7000 series SKUs will have a 170W TDP and 230W PPT.
We already know that AMD’s upcoming Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series CPUs will easily achieve 5.5GHz, 5.8GHz without issue, and I’m confident we’ll see overclockers reach 6.0GHz+. The GIGABYTE leak, according to Twitter user “HerbieHSSO” and leaker “kopite7kimi,” revealed the TDP and PPT of the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. All “R9 SKUs with a nominal voltage are based on 170W TDP.”
